Chapter 84 - 84 - Information On Murong Family Part 1

[Surprise!!! I am doing a mass release today. the following chapters will be free as well]

Zou Yue went back to his hotel and just laid on the bed thinking of a plan. As of now, he suspected Murong family for Tian Ai somewhere.

\'But where and why did they do it? Why did they hate her so much? She was just a baby...\' he closed his eyes tightly.

"Those mean people... just for prestige they tossed a little baby away." He grumbled, prancing around..

His stomach growled loudly from all the stress.

"Fuck! Being angry makes me hungry!" he ordered pizza from the nearby place. In fact, it was the pizza shop that was situated where the old orphanage was in.

He was busily reading though any information he could find about that family when the doorbell rang.

"My pizza is here~" he ran to the door and threw it opened. A person in a big baseball hat and a jean jacket stood there holding his pizza.

"4.50.."

"Oh okay..." he handed him the cash, and that person handed him the pizza. Without any other word, the pizza guy just left.

"Weird..." he closed the door and started to munch on his pizza busily.

Uncle Wen sent him information about the private investigator. He tossed the half-eaten pizza slice into the box and called him up instantly.

"Is this mister Cai Zheng?"

"Yes, who might this be?"

"I am Zou Yue; my uncle gave me your number."

"Oh yes, Wen said that you will call. What might I help you with?"

"I need to find out anything you can about the Murong family. Get me the dirt and.... investigate the fire that happened in \'new hope\' orphanage. I suspect they are somehow related to that family,"

"Hmm will do." A small scratching sound was heard, indicating that he was noting it down. "Anything else?"

"Oh, I heard the Murong family is gone to hold a birthday party for Murong Shao. I need an invitation. can you do that?"

"Yes, for a little bit more I can,"

"Please do then, uncle Cai. Thank you so much,"

"Welcome kid. I\'ll give you your report by tomorrow,"\' he said and cut the call.

Zou Yue sighed. If he had a little more time, he could have done the information searching himself, but now he was now on a time crunch.

He glanced at the calendar. April 2nd. "I will leave at least five days before. So that gives me only 23 days to find her."

He opened his pizza box and continued eating every little crumb of it. Nothing was wasted, not even the little condiment packets. He previously saved them in his bag.

The thrifty personality he developed during the apocalypse was very hard to break. But to be honest, he liked being thrifty.

After a satisfying mean he threw himself into his research.

Murong Shao was easy to keep tabs on. Unlike his grandparents, he was a very successful business man. He had so many companies all across the world. To be honest he was as rich as Fan Xui.

They both held the tenth richest men under thirty in the Forbes, raking every year.

Zou Yue peered at Murong Shao\'s pictures in which he was smiling jovially.

Murong Shao inherited his grandfather\'s look completely. He had a long face with definite jaws. His lips were a thin line but always smiling. His eyes were slightly wider, similar to his mother. Even his eyebrows somehow looked like his mother\'s.

This Murong Shao was the manly version of his mother.

"I don\'t like you. Fan is much more handsome than you and much cooler as well," he mumbled slightly, poking the pictures.

The phone screen slightly cracked.

Zou Yue frowned. "Did I damage the temper glass?" he glanced at it weirdly. He had brought his phone just a few months ago.

"no... I brought this almost six months ago. Maybe this is a bad brand...." he tossed it on the bed and plopped on it as well.

"What do I know of my so-called cousin? I don\'t know anything other than the media just gave me. Sigh, I need to wait for the report,"

Night time came sooner than he had expected. His stomach started to growl once again.

"Goodness, why do I get so hungry all the time,"

Zou Yue considered calling the nearby pizza place again, but he just had a box of it. "I need to shop," he got up and ran to the opposite supermarket.

He picked up a basket and started to fill it with non-perishable items.

He went to the ramen aisle and stood there hesitantly. \'I don\'t have an operating kitchen in my hotel.. should I buy it or not?\'

But the colourful packages pulled him in.

He picked out few cup noodles that only needed hot water to cook. He had a kettle in his room so this can work.

He also picked out few the brands of ramen.

\'This is a just in case stock....\' Zou Yue gave a stupid reason to but a lot of flavours. In his house, his mother never allowed him to eat ramen. Besides, all the noodles he bought were for trade only, so he never touched his stock.

After the apocalypse hits the world, food became the basis of any trade. All currency system was abolished and barter system started to flourish. Food and power were everything.

So this was an excuse to buy a lot of flavours and eat as much as he can before his mother bans it from the household.

Suddenly he ran into someone. His basket caught onto the unravelled ends of the person\'s blue jean jacket. "Sorry," he apologised, and tried to untangle it.

But the more he did, the more it got tangled up.

"Gosh...." he knelt down and started to untangle it gently.

"Time consuming." The girl just tore it and left.

Zou Yue, who was kneeling on the ground, just looked at the torn part of the jacket in shock. "Well that is a way to untangle things,"

His eyes lingered on her back. She had long black hair that draped down her waist and she was wearing a red shirt underneath.

"Wait, miss, let me pay for your clothes,"

"Not needed," she waved at him without looking back and left the store.

Authors note- sorry for not updating regularly. lot of things happened in my life. I almost got married. (@^@). I cancelled the marriage and now I am being scorned by my everyone. I feel sad and dejected.
